Custom Home

New Old Farmhouse

Set on 40+ acres in Concord, this custom farmhouse was designed to feel like it’s been here for over a century.

With subtle Victorian influence, every detail was intentional, from reverse trim profiles to unlacquered brass that will patina over time. This custom home build blends historic design elements with thoughtful craftsmanship, creating a space that feels layered, collected, and true to its setting and full of southern charm.

Nothing was rushed, nothing was surface-level. This was about creating a home with depth, character, and a sense of history that can’t be replicated.

A true collaboration between homeowner, builder, interior designer, and skilled trades—bringing together custom home design, architectural detail, and construction expertise to create something lasting.

Designer’s Take

This project was a true collaboration in every sense of the word. Working alongside Quicksilver Custom Builders and beautifully captured by White Wolfe Productions, this home came to life through a shared vision rooted in history.

The homeowners brought an incredible depth of knowledge and appreciation for architecture from the early 1800s–1900s. Their goal was clear: create a home that feels like it’s always been here. Not inspired by history—part of it.

Where I stepped in most was through color theory, helping everything feel cohesive and era-appropriate without feeling forced. I hand-sketched custom cabinetry details, worked through the kitchen hood design, and developed the primary bath cabinetry to align with the overall language of the home. From millwork suggestions to pantry detailing, it was about honoring the integrity of the vision while making sure it all functioned for real life.

This one pushed me outside of my usual lane—and I’m really glad it did. It was a reminder that sometimes the best work happens when you lean into collaboration and trust the process.

It truly took a village to bring this to life.

And somewhere along the way, it turned into more than just a project. These clients became friends, which always feels like the real win.

So happy they get to fill this home with life—kids, dogs, everyday moments and watch it all unfold exactly as it should.
