Custom Home

Top Trail Estate

Tucked away on acres of open land, this home had to work hard—because the family who lives here does. Function was non-negotiable, but that didn’t mean sacrificing style. Chunky wood, iron brackets, and rugged stone bring the rustic charm, while clean lines, oversized windows, and a neutral, texture-rich palette keep it fresh and modern.

The result? A home that doesn’t just look good—it works hard, lives easy, and proves that farmhouse and elevated can actually get along.

Designer’s Take

Designing this home wasn’t just about making it look good—it was about making it work for the people who live here. With acres of open land as the backdrop, the goal was to create a space that felt connected to nature, intentional in function, and seamlessly livable. The homeowners wanted a balance of rustic and modern, warmth and minimalism, and most importantly—a home that didn’t just sit pretty, but truly supported their lifestyle.

Here’s how The Studio Lee Method shaped this project:

Bringing the Outside In – The primary bathroom became a true retreat, where natural stone, a deep soaking tub, and river rock flooring created a space that feels more like a spa than a standard bath. The oversized window blurs the line between indoors and out, letting nature do the decorating.

Plants Were a Priority – This homeowner lives for greenery, not just as decor but as a way to cultivate well-being. We made sure every space had room for natural elements, layering in organic touches that keep the home feeling fresh and lived-in, never sterile.

Texture Was Key – In a large home, the risk is things feeling flat or cold. To avoid that, we leaned into contrast—chunky wood beams, soft textiles, honed stone, and matte finishes added depth and warmth while still keeping the overall aesthetic clean and minimal.

This project is a perfect example of how thoughtful design makes everyday living better.
